    Also fits women

I’ve been wearing men’s Carhartt coveralls in a short size since around 2000. They finally gave up when the knees blew out, so it was time for a replacement. Finding men’s coveralls these days—especially ones that work for women—is surprisingly hard. The market has shifted heavily toward overalls, but I really prefer an all-in-one solution. For reference, I’m 5'5", about 135–140 lbs, with an hourglass figure. I ordered two options to compare: Key Men’s Small Short (Loden) and Key Youth XL. The Men’s Small Short was close but not quite right. It felt too roomy above the waist and a bit tight below it, though the inseam length was perfect. The Youth XL, surprisingly, fit perfectly. The length is just right with Wellington boots, and the arm length is spot on. At first, the crotch felt a little low, but once I reached overhead to grab a hay bale, I realized I had more freedom of movement than in my old Carhartts—no restriction at all. The crotch seam felt slightly annoying at first, but after two wears I don’t notice it anymore. The sleeves have knitted cuffs, which do a great job keeping hay and cold air out. The fabric isn’t as tough as my old Carhartts, so I expect I’ll need to replace these sooner, but they’re noticeably more comfortable. The front and back pockets are deep enough to hold a cellphone, which is a must for me. Now the Negatives: The front zipper isn’t nearly as sturdy as Carhartt’s. The hip-level front pocket openings are narrow—usable only without gloves. The chest pockets are small and won’t fit a cellphone, though they do have zippers. The side leg pockets aren’t deep enough for standard scissors (for cutting bale twine). The hammer loop on the opposite side works, but it’s not ideal. The leg zippers only open to just below the knee. Not an issue for me since I put my wellies on after the coveralls, but worth noting. Overall, while they’re not as bombproof as my old Carhartts, the Key Youth XL coveralls are more comfortable, fit better, and move with me far more easily—enough that I’d buy them again knowing the trade-offs.

    Warmth and fit

My grandsons loved the insulated coveralls. The Pennsylvania winters can be cold and windy. They thanked me for the gifted coveralls and said they were outside all day and stayed warm !

    Good purchase

I am a 5’5”, 110lb woman, apparently they don’t make women coveralls anymore. However, the xl in kids work fine for me. I liked the fit okay, a little baggy but I can add layers if it’s super cold. I tried the large but the arms and legs were way to short.

    Coveralls just right

I am a 4’”11 older female. I was looking for coveralls to wear to the barn to feed in the mornings. After much searching I stumbled across these and read the reviews. I bought the childrens large and it fits perfectly. Length is good, room enough in chest to be comfortable over a fleece. Like the knee length zippers for over boots. Havent worn it in bitter cold yet but is has been warm enough in high 20’s. So glad to find something that works for small women in agricullture/agronomy

    Works as a women’s small!

I have looked EVERYWHERE for coveralls for myself, a women’s small. It was hard to find some long enough in the legs but not too big. Mens S Carhartts were too big for me. I’m 5ft 5 and these fit me great. A little extra room in the top but, it’s not bad. So glad I finally found a pair of coveralls that fit me!

    Youth coveralls

These coveralls were exactly what I was looking for however I had to return them because they were too big. I am 5' and 103 lbs. I normally can wear youth size xl but these were way too big. Too long, too wide. I read other reviews that also said they were a little big but they used the extra room for layering. That was not going to be an option for me since they were so so long. I contemplated ordering the large instead but it was out of stock so I took a chance because I really needed these for work. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. I really wish it had because they were excellent quality.
